YANKEE, Rose Marie, Age 74, of Fenton, died Wednesday, November 1, 2006 at Genesys Health Park. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 12 Noon, Saturday, November 4, 2006, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N. Adelaide St., Fenton. Rev. Fr. David Harvey Celebrant. Visitation will be held 2-5PM and 6-9PM Friday, at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. Â Vigil Service will be held 7PM Friday at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to St. John G.I.F.T. Campaign. Rose was born June 18, 1932, in Flint the daughter of Harold and Berniece (Gorton) McCann. Her and her husband Patrick were married in 1954 in Flint. She was in the first graduating class from St. Joseph School of Nursing. Â For thirty years she was a RN at St. Joseph. Â Rose is a member of St. John Catholic Church, on the Council of Catholic women, and a member of the Fenton Moose Club. Â Surviving are her husband, Patrick of Fenton; 3 children, Raymond Yankee of Ft. Wayne IN, Michael (Patricia) Yankee of Grand Blanc, Colleen (Mark) Brezinque of Flint; 4 grandchildren, Nicole Failing, Cynthia Melton, Anthony Melton, Kyle Yankee; and many nieces and nephews. Â She was preceded in death by her parents; 3 brothers, Edward McCann, Frank McCann, James McCann; sister Mary Morrow.
