Rose Mary KOZYRA

KOZYRA, Rose Mary - age 85, of Fenton, died Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at Apple Blossom Hill Assisted Living. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:30 AM Friday, July 23, 2010 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N. Adelaide St., Fenton, Fr. David Harvey celebrant. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery. Visitation will be held 1-8 PM Thursday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton and from 9:30 AM until the time of mass Friday at the church. A vigil service will be held 2 PM Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to St. John Outreach, to help the poor and disadvantaged people in the local community. Rose was born November 17, 1924 in Detroit, the daughter of Frank and Mary Makowski. She was married to Stanley Kozyra, who preceded her in death on December 7, 1991. Surviving are: children, Stanley Jr. (Rebecca) Kozyra of Grand Haven, Maryanne (Brett) Swanson of Fenton; grandchildren, Jennifer (Craig) LeDuc, Erik Kozyra, Christina Swanson, Robert Swanson; sister, Dorothy Gawronski; many nieces and nephews.
