October 19, 1927 — July 31, 2018

HICKEY, Rose Marie Theresa - age 90, of Swartz Creek, died Tuesday, July 31, 2018. Funeral mass will be celebrated 11 AM Monday, August 6, 2018 at St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church, 4413 Morrish Rd., Swartz Creek with Fr. Louis Ekka celebrant. Interment will follow at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held 5-8 PM Sunday the Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel. Our temporary location at Hill Creek Church, 5363 Hill Road, Swartz Creek (Mundy Twp.) where a Rosary will be prayed at 7 PM Sunday. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to Alzheimer's Association. Rose Marie was born October 19, 1927 in Flint, the daughter of Edward and Helen Owens. She had volunteered at McLaren - Flint with the American Red Cross for many years. She loved planting and caring for her flowers. She always had a beautiful flower garden. Rose Marie loved spending time with her family and enjoyed traveling throughout her life, even at the age of 76 when she traveled from Flint to Seattle on the back of her brothers motorcycle camping along the way. She was always up for an adventure. Surviving are: grandchildren, Jason (Jamie) Hickey, Jennifer Hickey, and Joey (Shannon) Hickey, D.J. George, Dustin (Erica) George; great-grandchildren, Emily, Brooklyn, Nicholas, Elizabeth and Miles; brother, Ed (Nancy) Owens; sister, Linda Noll; daughter in law, Dawn Hickey. She was preceded in death by: her husband, Miles; two sons, James and Edward; grandson, Jimmy. The family extends a special thank you to the staff of Swank Assisted Living and Heartland Hospice, and also Dr. Silvia Seoane for their wonderful care.
