Ronald Carter

CARTER, Ronald West - age 89 of Commerce Township, died March 19, 2023. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Saturday, March 25, 2023, at Orchard Lake Community Presbyterian Church, 5171 Commerce Rd, Orchard Lake Village, MI 48324 with Rev. Dr. Richard Lapehn officiating. Visitation will be held 11:30 AM - 1 PM Saturday at the church. Interment will be held 1:30 PM Monday, March 27, 2023, at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly MI. Ronald was born November 24, 1933 in Lima, OH, the son of Harold West and Princess (Agler) Carter. He married Nancy Jane Goodenough on October 25, 1952. Ronald was a veteran of the Ohio National Guard and the U.S. Army Reserve, retiring after 20 years as a Major. He retired from Federal Mogul Corporation in 1994 as a purchasing agent after 26 years of service. He and his wife Nancy were committed Christians and members of Orchard Lake Community Presbyterian Church for over 50 years. Surviving are wife of 70 years, Nancy; two daughters, Lisa (Brad) Sjoholm and Princess (Bill) Fuller; four grandchildren, Clint West Carter, Nichole Carter, Matthew Sjoholm and Grayson Sjoholm; great-grandchildren, Zander West Carter.
