Ronald Wayne WEISSEND

WEISSEND, Ronald Wayne "Ronnie" - age 43, of Flint, died Monday, April 30, 2012 at Hurley Medical Center. Services will be held 11 AM Friday, May 4, 2012 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek with Fr. Jay Gantz officiating. Interment will follow at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held 4-8 PM Wednesday and 10 AM - 8 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to St. Andrew Episcopal Church or Carmen Ainsworth Youth Wrestling. Ronnie was born October 8, 1968 in Flint, the son of Joseph Earl and Lucille (Easterwood) Weissend. He worked at General Motors Truck and Bus. Ronnie was a member of St. Andrew Episcopal Church where he volunteered in the soup kitchen. He was an avid motorcycle rider and was a member of the Spirit Riders. Ronnie loved his children and was a Youth Wrestling Coach at Carmen Ainsworth. Surviving are: two daughters, Taylor Weissend of Davison, Karlee Weissend of Clio; two sons, Ronnie Weissend and Joey Weissend both of Burton; one granddaughter, Zoee, on the way; mother, Lucy Weissend of Flint; three siblings, Johnny (Carol) Weissend of Flint, Bruce Weissend of Lansing, Sharon (Steve) Cox of Flint; girlfriend, Renee Cassidy; many nieces and nephews.
