May 24, 1947 — September 14, 2012

WATSON, Ronald, age 65, of Burton, passed away Friday, September 14, 2012 at home. Funeral Services will be 11:00AM Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint. Rev. Cody Mansfield and Rev. George Wilson officiating. Interment will follow at Flint Memorial Park, Mt. Morris. Visitation will be Sunday 5-8PM and Monday 12-8PM at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the Autism Science Foundation. Ron was born May 24, 1947 in Flint the son of the late Walter and Bonida (Jackson) Watson. He graduated from Atherton High School and achieved his Associates Degree from Baker College. Ron enjoyed bowling and excelled at wheelchair basketball. He had a solid faith and enjoyed attending Friendship Freewill Baptist Church. Ron was a really nice man, a gentle spirit and had a gift of strength which saw him through much adversity in life. His physician remarked that Ron "embodies the strength to endure". Surviving are his loving wife, whom he adored, Lorraine Lynn Watson; daughter, Melissa Jacko (Russell); stepson, Terry Rich (Sabrina); stepdaughter, Tamra Wilson (Rev. George); sisters, Shirley Nail, Mary Wright (Larry), Wanda Watson, brothers, Tom Watson (Lillian) Jim Watson (Sandy); grandchildren, Nathan, Ryan, Adam and Faith Wilson, Pierce Andersen, Alexander and Lauren Rich, Lydia and Elijah Jacko; mother-in-law, Marian Davison; sisters and brothers-in-law, John Davison (Suzanne), Ann Huerta (Albert), Larry Davison (Jo Lynn), Shelly Ingram; and several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Heidi Anderson in 2004; brothers, Robert and Paul Watson. Online condolences may be posted on the obiuaries page of www.sharpfuneralhomes.com
