THOMPSON, Ronald E., Sr.  Age 59, of Davison, died Monday, November 10, 2003 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Surviving are: wife, Donna M. Thompson of Davison; daughter, Connie M. and husband, Tim Barron of Gaines; son, Ronald E. Thompson, Jr.; four grandchildren, Amber M. and husband, Todd Fraelich, Stephanie M. Barron, Christen L. Thompson, Dalton Goodman; sister, Florence and husband, William Goodnight of Midland; father-in-law, Donald K. Chambers and wife, Dorothy of Flint; sister-in-law, Sharon K. Chambers of Swartz Creek; nieces and nephews, Debra and husband, Chris Shirk, Jeff Goodnight and wife, Kim, Mike Chambers and Terri LaMay, Michelle and husband, Aaron Martin; several great nieces and great nephews. He was preceded in death by: his parents. Mr. Thompson was born December 26, 1943, the son of Glendon A. and Hazel Donn ONette (Filkins) Thompson. He married Donna M. Chambers on November 11, 1962 in Mt. Morris. Mr. Thompson was the 1974 Mr. America and won several other body building contests throughout the years. He was the owner and operator with his family of Housing Products Company, Inc. and had volunteered for Big Brothers for many years. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Friday, November 14, 2003 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek with Rev. Tom Barron officiating. Interment will be held at Flint Memorial Park, Mt. Morris. Visitation will be held 2-4 and 6-9 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to C.A.R.E.
