Ronald Stoltenberg

STOLTENBERG, Ronald "Ron" George - Age 75, of Birch Run, died Tuesday, September 5, 2017. Funeral services will be held 11AM Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Burial will follow in Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Visitation will be held 2PM - 8PM Sunday, 2PM- 8PM Monday and 10AM Tuesday until time of service. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Cancer Society or the Genesee County Humane Society. Ronald was born in Pontiac, MI, the son of the late Donald Ivan and Betty Jean (Ketzler) Stoltenberg. Ron married Cynthia "Cyndy" Denise Gleffe in Las Vegas on May 20, 1996. Mr. Stoltenberg proudly served his country in the Navy as an electrician technician on the USS Franklin D. Roosevelt . He retired from General Motors, Buick Division with 38 years of service. Ron enjoyed fishing, working on cars and was a master tinkerer. Surviving are: wife, Cindy Stoltenberg of Birch Run; children, Ronald "Dean" Stoltenberg of Brighton, Jeffery Scott (Jeanette) Stoltenberg of Clio, Amy (Frank) Comito of Macomb Twp., Jason Alan Stoltenberg of Midland, Holly (Donald) Ellis of Williamston, Angelena Stoltenberg of Birch Run; 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Ron was also survived by three sisters, Carol (Joe) Plunkey of Oscoda, Sue Day of Maybee, Joanne (Frank) Williams of IL and many nieces and nephews.
