Ronald Slone

SLONE, Ronald Dean - Age 67, of Swartz Creek, died January 11, 2018. Private Interment will take place at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. R.D. (Ronnie) was born June 13, 1950 in Prestonsburg, KY., the son of Tony and Gallie (Hall) Slone. He graduated from Wheelwright High School in 1968. R.D. proudly served in the Navy on the USS Fulton in 1970. He was an electrician in the coal mines in Kentucky for several years, later moving to Michigan to work for GM in Lansing. R.D. was a big Kentucky Wildcats fan and loved all sports. Most of all he loved his family. He is survived by his two sisters Rose Slone and Maudie (Mark) Wendling, his partner for over 30 years Deborah Moore and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Tony and Gallie Slone, his brothers Delmas and Terry Slone and brother-in-law Lonnie Slone.
