Sielski, Ronald - Age 90, of Swartz Creek, died March 13, 2021. Services will be held 3 PM Friday, April 16 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, Burton, Fr. Steve Anderson celebrant. Visitation at the church from 2:30-3 PM Friday, April 16. Masks must be worn and social distancing guidelines followed. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Cancer Society, Old Newsboys, Knights of Columbus tootsie roll drive for special education, or St. Jude Children's Hospital. Arrangements are being handled by Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Grand Blanc. Ronald was born July 28, 1930 in Flint, the son of Stephen S. and Sally (Olszewski) Sielski. He graduated from St. Michael's High School and GMI. Ronald served his country proudly during the Korean War as a combat medic in the United States Army where he was a Silver Star recipient. He was also honored by the Korean Government with the Ambassador for Peace Medal. He married Margaret Marie Minar on August 1, 1953 in Birch Run. Ronald worked for Chevrolet Flint Manufacturing (Chevy in the hole) as an electrician and a supervisor retiring on August 1, 1987 with 38 years of service. He was a Charter member and former member of St. Charles and Helena Catholic Church in Clio. He was a former member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Montrose and a current member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Burton. Ron was a 4th degree Knights of Columbus active in Flushing, Montrose and Burton. He was a member of U.A.W. Local 659, A.O.P.A., and Bishop Airport Pilots Association. Ronald was active in Boy Scouts of America, volunteered for The Old Newsboys and also the North End Soup Kitchen. He is survived by his wife of 67 years Margaret of Swartz Creek; children, Terese (Fred) Brushaber of Maryville, TN, Christopher (Anna) Sielski of Mancelona, MI, Ronda (Ronald) Huffman of Swartz Creek, Nicholas Sielski of Grand Blanc, Stephen (Lauren) Sielski of Leesburg, FL; five grandsons, Christopher Sielski, Benjamin Huffman, Trent Huffman, Frederick (Mark) Brushaber, Alexander (Sofia) Brushaber; great-grandchildren, Emilia, Eliza, Addelar, Fredrik, and one great-grandson on the way; several nieces and nephews. Ronald was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Walter Sielski and Floyd Sielski; and sister, Alice Sielski. Tributes may be shared on the obituaries page of www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
