POBOCIK, Ronald Stephen - Age 66, of Swartz Creek, died Sunday, July 17, 2005 at Hurley Medical Center after a courageous battle through life as a Polio survivor. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 AM Wednesday, July 20, 2005 at St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Amos Wischmeyer celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Mary Cemetery, Swartz Creek. Visitation will be from 7-9 PM Monday and 2-5 and 6-9 PM Tuesday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. A rosary will be prayed on Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Ronald was born July 9, 1939 in Flint, the son of Steve and Helen (Ach) Pobocik. He was a graduate of Swartz Creek High School and Flint Junior College (Mott Community College). He managed J & S Antenna and Satellite Service in Swartz Creek for many years. Ronald was a member of St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church. Surviving are: two sister, Alice Brookins of Flint, Chris and husband, Dave Swantek of Gaines; two brothers, John Pobocik and wife, Margaret of Lennon, Steven Pobocik and wife, Julie of Flushing; 10 nieces and nephews; great-nephew; several aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by: his father in 1971 and his mother in 1978. Ronald had a great sense of humor. He was a friend to a lot people.
