Ronald Orr

Orr, Ronald Clifton - Age 78, of  Flint Township, died June 16, 2023. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, June 21, 2023 at Central Church of the Nazarene, 1261 Bristol Road, Flint. Stephen Anthony and Donald Phillips will officiate. Interment will be at 9 AM Thursday June 22 at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly. Visitation will be 2-8 PM Tuesday, June 20, 2023 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek, and 10-11 AM Wednesday, June 21 at the church. Contributions in Ronald's memory may be made to the Humane Society of Genesee County or Carriage Town Ministries.

Ronald was born February 8, 1945 in Flint the son of George Orr Jr. and Florabell (Staley) Orr. He was a graduate of Flint Southwestern High School. He served in the U.S.Army in Korea. He married Gladys Hagenstein on November 6, 1971 in Flint. Mr. Orr retired from AC Spark Plug after many years of service and then went on to work for Bishop Airport. He was a member of the Central Church of the Nazarene. He was a member of the Carman-Ainsworth Senior Center. He enjoyed watching Tigers baseball and NCIS. Ron loved trains. He was a kind, quiet soul. He was a loving husband, dad and grandpa.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Gladys; three children, Heather (James) Kilgore of Brownstown, Scott (Erica) Orr of Flint Township, and Kristen (Trent) Bedell of Swartz Creek; grandchildren, Jonathan Bedell, Grace Bedell, Zane Bedell, Leela Orr, Piper Orr, Kaylee Kilgore, and Joanna Kilgore; his siblings, Cathy (Robert) Ballmer, Jerry Orr, Dan Orr, Larry (Jan) Orr, Mary Poole, Stephen Orr, and Terry (Jennifer) Orr; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Florabell Orr; and brother, Jim Orr.
