JEDRZEJAS, Ronald E., age 61, of Fenton, passed away Friday, June 19, 2009 at Genesys Health Park. A Service to Celebrate Ron's life will be 5:00PM Thursday, June 25, 2009 at Sharp Funeral Homes, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. Military Honors will be performed under the auspices of Fenton V.F.W. Curtis Wolverton Post #3243. Visitation will be 2-5 & 6-8PM Wednesday and 3PM Thursday until time of service at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Gift of Life or Adopt-a-Pet. Ron was born February 3, 1948 in Flint, the son of Leo and Beth Marie (EDGCOMBE) Jedrzejas. He married Constance Wacker on November 20, 1971 in Flint. Ron had been employed by Michigan Bell, AT & T, Lucent, and AVAYA, working 35 years in Telecommunications until he retired in 2001. He served in the Army from 1967 to 1969 at Fort Stewart, Georgia, where one of his duties included performing Military Honors for servicemen returning from Vietnam. Ron assisted in establishing the Fenton Twp. Fire Dept. and was their Captain until he retired. Surviving are his dear wife of 37 years, Connie; special niece, Becky Jedrzejas; sister, Marilyn Williams (George) of Farmington Hills; brother, Dave Jedrzejas (Gloria); 2 foster children, Steve Van Petten of Florida and John McMahan; sister-in-law, Linda Hohman (Lou) of New York; special friends, Roy Sherwood of Georgia, Mike and Barb Evans, the entire Rood family, Wayne & Carol Day, and the Dick Day Family, several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
