Ronald Elton Hyde

HYDE, Ronald Elton, age 82, of Fenton, died Thursday, August 30, 2007. Funeral Services will be 1PM Wednesday, September 5, 2007 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. Interment in Great Lakes National Cemetery. Military honors will be performed at the cemetery. Visitation will be 3-8PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Ronald was born January 26, 1925 in Caraway, Arkansas the son of John and Esther (Cox) Hyde. He married Grace Parlee Shewmaker in Paragould, Arkansas on January 10, 1947. Ronald was employed by Spector Red Ball Trucking as an over-the-road driver until his retirement in 1982. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in WWII. Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Grace; 3 sons, Richard Hyde of Columbus, Ohio, Randy Hyde and wife Mary of White Lake, Rob Hyde and wife Janet of Holly; 4 grandchildren, Justin, Jonathan, Michelle and Jacob;  2 half-sisters, Helen Conrey of Pine Bluff, AR, Frankie Lou Butler of Aurora, IL and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers; Jack Hyde & Tommy Hyde and sister, Alberteen Safley.
