HILL, Ronald E., age 74 of Burton, passed away peacefully at home, with his family by his side, on February 15, 2024.  Per Ronald's wishes, cremation has taken place and he will be laid to rest, a private service with military honors, at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan. Ron was born on November 10, 1949 in Kennett, Missouri to the late Junior Eugene and Betty Earle (Hurn) Hill.  He attended Grand Blanc High School and married his high school sweetheart, Gloria Winer, on April 27, 1968 in Davison, Michigan.  He served our county with the United States Army serving in Vietnam and in Korea and after being honorably discharged, continued on with the National Guard.  Ron retired as a Heavy Equipment Operator for Tri-City Aggregates in Holly, Michigan after 30 years and he was an avid fisherman, earning two Master Angler Awards.  He enjoyed visiting the casino and he cherished the time he spent with his family. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Gloria.  Children, Mark (Tina) Hill of Burton; David Hill of Davison; and Kevin Hill of Flushing.  Grandchildren, Kandice Hill; Jessika (Brandon) Epperson; Justin (Megan Tilley) Hill; Kristina (Matthew) Works; and Matthew Hill.  Great-Grandchild, Mason Works.  Siblings, Larry (Patty) Hill; David Hill; and Leanna (Matthew) Novak. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Ron was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Richard Hill; step-dad, Bernard Sheetz.
