Ronald Elkins

ELKINS, Ronald Wayne- Age 72, of Fenton, passed away October 10, 2022. A Memorial Gathering will be held Saturday, October 15 from 2- 4 PM at Sharp Funeral Homes, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery, Fenton, MI. at a later date. Ronald was born June 28, 1950 in Oneida, Kentucky, the son of Orville and Rosie (Barrett) Elkins. He graduated from Hartland High School in 1970.  Ronald served in the United States Army. He worked at General Motors for 30 years before retiring in 2006. He was an avid sports fan who enjoyed watching University of Kentucky basketball, the Detroit Lions football and the Detroit Tigers baseball. But what he loved the most was watching any of his grandchildren's sporting events. Surviving are: Son, Greg (Renee) Murany; Daughter, Crista (Craig) Weddle; four grandchildren, Ryan, Jayson, Keegan, Chaz; Niece, Dana (Carl) Snavely; great-nephews, Christopher (Angela) Snavely; Josh (Ashley) Snavely; great-niece, Britni Snavely. He was preceded in death by parents; son, Jeffery Elkins; siblings, Cecil Elkins, Junior Elkins, Pauline Duke, Ilene Briscoe, Eudella Jorgenson.
