Ronald Edward Dunn, age 81, passed away on February 25, 2025, in Flint, MI. Services will be held 1:00 PM Friday, July 18, 2025 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek (The service will be live Streamed and can be viewed via Ronald's obituary page at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com). Pastor Brent Kriesch officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Friday, July 18, 2025 from 11:00 AM until the time of the service. Those desiring may make contributions to the Coast Guard Chapel of Bois Blanc Island, P.O. Box 932, Pointe Aux Pins, Michigan, 49775. 

Ron was born in Flint, Michigan on November 29, 1943. He graduated from Flint Central High School, attended Flint Junior College, Central Michigan University, and Cooley Law School. He dedicated 35 years of his life working at General Motors, where he was respected by his colleagues for his diligence and integrity. He was an active member of Calvary United Methodist Church, where he served in many areas, including teaching Sunday school classes for over 50 years, and numerous community outreach activities. Ron's faith was a significant part of his life, as evidenced by his commitment to studying the Bible, and participating in church functions as a Church Council Chairman, Lay Elder, and Shepherd Group leader. Beyond his professional and religious life, Ron enjoyed reading the newspaper, going to the movies, vacationing on Bois Blanc Island, playing cards, watching birds, and eating chocolate in any form. 

Ron is survived by his beloved wife, Carolyn Dunn; children Michael (Brandie) Dunn and their four children, Isabel (Nathan) Berceau, Megan Dunn, Sylvia Dunn, and Mitchell Dunn. John (Sara) Dunn and their three children, Audrey (Jacob) Schlinkert, April Dunn, and Anya Dunn. Cindy (Brian) Spoelman and their eight children, Rachel (Angel) Guerrero, Elizabeth (Joseph) Lotus, Isaac Spoelman, Anna (Luke) March, Rebekah Spoelman, Mary Grace Spoelman, Sarah Spoelman, and Kassidy Spoelman. Sharon (Steven) Taylor and their four children, Andrew Taylor, Austin (Rebekah) Taylor, Katelynn Taylor, and Lydia Taylor. He also cherished his seven great-grandchildren, Cyrus Guerrero, Glenn Guerrero, Rio Lotus, Edmund March, Clive Guerrero, Indigo Lotus, and Alfred March, who brought immense joy and pride to his life. He was preceded in death by his parents, Glenn and Mary Dunn, his brother, James Dunn and two sisters, Barbara Dunn, and Janet Dunn. 

Ron's life was a testament to his strong character, devotion to his family and faith, and his enduring work ethic. His legacy will live on in the hearts and memories of those who knew him. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com
