Ronald William Cunningham, Jr.

CUNNINGHAM, Ronald William Jr., age 41, of East Jordan, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Monday, November 16, 2009. Funeral Services will be 1PM Monday, November 23, 2009 at Sharp Funeral Homes, 6063 Fenton Rd., Grand Blanc Twp. Visitation will be 1-4 & 6-9PM Sunday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Ronald W. Cunningham Jr. Memorial Fund. Ron was born May 23, 1968 in Key West, Florida the son of Rev. Ronald William and Mary (Swan) Cunningham. He married Cecilia Hyrman March 14, 2005 in Charlevoix County. Ron was a 1988 graduate of Aliquippa Baptist Temple Academy, Aliquippa, PA. Ron was a patriotic man, he watched every military movie and TV show. He was a great sports enthusiast, especially hockey and football. The Pittsburgh Penguins and Pittsburgh Steelers were his favorites. Ron had a kind heart and an understanding for people. He found the good in everyone, and was thoughtful in his advice, when he was asked. Surviving are his loving and faithful wife, Cecilia; 4 children, Lytia Hunt, Dorian Vilify, Pvt. Mason Hunt, and Danielle Cowan; parents, Rev. Ronald W. and Mary Cunningham. 2 sisters, Holly Cook (Bill) and Julie Cahill (Mike); grandparents, Thomas Swan; Vernon and Martha Cunningham; uncle, Gene Tarquinio (Joyce) and sons; 2 nieces, Beth and Ashleigh Erdman; and many loving members of the Hyrman family. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Ann Swan; special aunt, Mary Patuc and his best friend, Digger, his dog. The verse he lived by was Romans 10:13 "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."
