Ron E. Dively

Ron E. Dively - Age 61 of Flint, passed away on Monday, September 9, 2024 at home with his family by his side. Visitation will be held at 12pm until the time of the Funeral Service at 2pm on Thursday, September 12, 2024 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Ron was born on May 29, 1963 in Flint, Michigan to Gary & Bonnie. Ron graduated from Bendle High School, class of 1981. Ron was employed as a Dairy Manager with Kroger until his diagnosis with cancer January 2024. Ron worked with Kroger for many years and had much pride for his department and truly enjoyed his clientele. Many of the customers would come to the store simply to see Ron. 

Ron was a Michigander through & through. He was an avid outdoors man who lived to hunt and fish. He cherished time spent Up North at Houghton Lake where he and his family looked forward to boating and four wheeling. Ron was somewhat of a golfer, it might be best to describe him as a "weekend golfer", he loved being in the sun and enjoying good company on the course. Ron liked hockey and was a proud Flint Firebirds and Detroit Red Wings Fan. Above all Ron adored his family, especially his two grand children Elliott and Emmry-Grace. During these last months the grandkids "brought the party to pawpaw" as Ron was homebound. They brought much joy to his life and called Emmry-Grace his "Baby Angel" as they share the same birthday. 

Ron married Deanna on May 13, 2017 together they shared a love of music and attended many concerts together, they also liked to visit casinos. Their most favorite time spent together was boating and four wheeling. When Ron and Deanna first met, boating was their biggest hobby but in recent years four wheeling became the front runner. Ron's father, Gary even got in on some of the fun with four wheeling up north. 

Ron is survived by his loving wife, Deanna Dively; his mother, Bonnie (Bill) Carter; father, Gary (Peggy) Dively; his son, Mike (Ashley) Dively, two grandchildren, Elliott & Emmry-Grace Dively; brother, Shannon (Valerie) Dively; niece, Ashley (fiancée, Andrew) Dively; nephew, Aaron (Shana) Dively; in-laws, Rick & Shereen Lattie and brother-in-law, George (Amanda) Lattie. He is further survived by many dear family member and friends too numerous to list but never forgotten. Ron held a special place in his heart for his fur babies and also leaves behind; Pebbles, Ruby, Jack, Max and Bud.
