Roman Pyrc

PYRC, Roman "Ray" -- Age 82, of Durand, died August 26, 2016 surrounded by his wife and 3 daughters, which was his wish to be at home. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Monday August 29 at Sharp Funeral Homes Miller Road Chapel 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Chaplin Todd Regester. Interment at Greenwood Cemetery, Vernon. Visitation will be held 2-8 PM Sunday and 10 AM until time of service on Monday. Roman was born August 8, 1934 in Flint the son of John and Helen (Comlaq) Pyrc. He married Dorothy Elizabeth Nichols in Flint on August 22, 1964. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army. He was employed at GM retiring in 1988 after 37 years of service. He was a hard working family man. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grand father. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Dorothy; daughters, Mary (Butch) Bryan of Swartz Creek, Katie (Bruce) Pell of Augusta, MI., Dorothy Pirochta (Ron Kish) of Owosso; grandchildren, Brad, Jon, David, Derek, Amber, Ashley, Neil, and Lily; great grandchildren Alainah, Colton, Connor, Cheryl, Leyvi, Evelyn, and Waylon; siblings, John Pyrc, Stella Gradowski, Jenny Kurys, Lottie Ondo. He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Helen Pyrc; mother in law and father in law, Dorothy and Nick Nichols; infant son, Joseph Pyrc; siblings, Bernard, Joseph, Wanda, Steffie, Celia.
