TOMPKINS, Rolland Jesse - Age 70, of Flint, died Tuesday, June 16, 2009 at St. Joseph Health Systems, Tawas City, MI. Graveside service will be held 1PM Monday, June 22, 2009 at Sunset Hills Cemetery. Rolland "Jesse" was born June 6, 1939 in Flint, the son of George C. and Mary Jo (Suski) Tompkins and had been a resident of Flint his entire life. He married Nancy Lee Catherine Lindgren on November 12, 1973 in Flint. Mr. Tompkins had been employed in the auto parts industry. Surviving are: wife, Nancy; 9 children, Deborah Hoock of Flushing, David and wife Janet Krause of Clio, Robert and wife Tracy Krause of Flint, Cathy and husband John Pruett of Holly, Scott Krause and Sharon Drendall of White Lake, Michael and wife Tera Krause of Davison, Christine Tompkins and David Krantz of Flushing, George and wife Nola Tompkins of Wauchula, FL, Rallond Tompkins and fiance Becky of Fenton; 18 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; sister, Jean Peltier of Grand Blanc; brother, Jim Tompkins of Burton; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
