ROUNDS, Rolland Ora - age 94, died Wednesday, April 20, 2011, at Masonic Pathways in Alma, Michigan. Graveside service will be held at 2:30 PM, May 14, 2011, at Cowell Cemetery in Tyrone Twp., Michigan. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to Andrew United Methodist Church in Kathleen, Georgia. Rolland was born November 29, 1916, in Flint, MI, the son of Ora and Thelma (Bailey) Rounds. He married Thelma (Tim) McDowell on June 28, 1941. He worked as manager for AC Sparkplugs in Flint, Michigan. After retirement, he resided in Kathleen, Georgia. He moved to Alma, Michigan in 2011. He enjoyed photography and was a talented wood and leather craftsman. Mr. Rounds was also a Mason for 55 years. Surviving are: Son, Donald (Janice) Rounds; sister, Audrey LeSage; 4 grandchildren (Mike, Kathleen, Ben and Libby); 6 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Thelma; daughter Sandra Harkness; sister, Alice McGregor; and brother, Gerald.
