Caton, Roland Lee - Age 84, of  Flint Township, died September 11, 2023. Services will be held 10:30 AM Thursday September 21 at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Road, Holly. Arrangements are being handled by Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. 

Roland  was born April 14, 1939 in Hale, Michigan, the son of Donald and Neva (Runyan) Caton. He married Mable Edna Lee on April 28, 1962 in Hale and she preceded him in death on July 27, 2022. Roland was a veteran of the United States Army. He retired from General Motors. He was a dedicated father and loving grandfather. He was a hard worker and good provider for his family. He loved to take his grandsons hunting. He was a builder in all aspects of the trades, "he could do it all." He was an avid reader.

 Surviving are four children: Bonnie Odden of Flint, Pamela (Timothy) Hoholik of Swartz Creek, Sherri (Scott) Houghteling of Flint Township, Ron Caton of Flint; four grandchildren: Eric (Sarah) McKay, Tiffany Fry, Joshua Michalik, Ryan Michalik; six great-grandchildren: Gage, Eden, Daisy, Tylen, Mason, Samuel; sister: Kay Bannister; and brother: David Caton. He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Neva and wife, Mable.
