Roger Hamilton

HAMILTON, Roger Dale - Age 72, of Holly, died Monday, March 1, 2021.  Per Roger's request cremation has taken place and a private graveside service will be held at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly. Those desiring may make contributions to the First Baptist Church of Holly or the Wounded Warriors Project.

Roger was born August 6, 1948 in Bypro, KY, the son of Edward and Maryellen (Mead) Hamilton.  He was a 1966 graduate of Northeastern High School in Detroit and he received a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from Wayne State University.  He was a Vietnam Veteran serving in the U.S. Air Force.  Roger married Barbara J. Wright March 9, 1968 in Detroit.  He retired from General Motors after 38 years of service as a engineer.  He was a member of First Baptist Church of Holly.  He had resided in Holly for the past 8 years coming from Hartland. He enjoyed football, baseball, golfing, and doing sudoku puzzles.

Surviving are: his wife of 52 years, Barbara; 5 children, Michael Hamilton of Fenton, Kelly (Charles) Hughes of Florida, David Hamilton of Holly, Matthew (Shannon) Hamilton of Taylor, and Charles Hamilton of Holly; 14 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; sisters, Brenda Hutchinson of Warren and Gloria Sue Mullins of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.
