BETTS, Roger Neal - Age 66, of Flushing, died Thursday, July 30, 2015. Funeral services will be held 4:00 PM Monday, August 3, 2015 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Monday from 1:00 PM until the time of the service. Those desiring may make contributions to Hospice House of Shiawassee County, 2005 Copas Road, Owosso, MI 48867. Roger was born August 23, 1948 in Flint the son of Leo and Mary (Carpenter) Betts. He was a 1966 graduate of Grand Blanc High School. He was employed by Wickes Lumber and then Antcliff Window and Door. Roger had a life long passion for fishing and hunting. Surviving are: sons, Brian and wife Laurie Betts of Fenton, Robert and wife Julie Betts of Brighton, and Brett Betts of Bancroft; grandchildren, Lia and Hailey; brothers, Terry and wife Wilma Betts of Fenton, James and wife Kim Betts of Farwell, and Leo II and wife Corrienne Betts of Fenton; sister, Deborah and husband Tim Briceland-Betts of Silver Spring, MD; step mother, Yvonne Betts of Grand Blanc; his significant other, Barbara Good of Flushing; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Kevin Betts; and former wife, Ruth. Online tributes may be posted on the obituaries page at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
