Robert "Bob" Kirby

KIRBY, Robert Allen "Bob" - Age 65, of Burton, died Wednesday, April 15, 2020.  Cremation has taken place and a memorial service and burial at Great Lakes National Cemetery will take place at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to the Flint Bowling 5-7-10 Club or the family, both can be mailed to: 2209 Briar Lane, Burton, MI 48509.

Bob was born August 6, 1954 in Flint, the son of William Hugh and Beulah Jean (Brown) Kirby.  He was a 1972 graduate of Swartz Creek High School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.  He married Deborah Lee Huffman September 1, 1975 in Swartz Creek.  Bob retired from GM Truck and Bus.  He was a member of the Swartz Creek American Legion Post #294.  He was an avid bowler, member of the Flint Bowling Association and was inducted into the Flint Bowling Hall of Fame.  He also enjoyed riding his Harley, playing cards, and golfing.  Bob would do anything for anyone at anytime no matter what.

Surviving are: his wife, Debbie; sons, Craig (Melissa) Kirby of Davison and Christopher (Kristen) Kirby of Grand Blanc; 3 grandsons, Brett Adkins, Grayson and Bentley Kirby; sister, Melodie Harger of Flint Township; nieces, Kristina Harger of Alabama and Rebecca (Scott) Elliott of Davison; nephews, Anthony Harger II of Flint Township and Anthony Dunlap of Swartz Creek.
