Roberta M. Castro

CASTRO, Roberta M. - Age 75, of Holly, formerly of Linden, died Wednesday, February 7, 2007 at Hurley Medical Center. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Saturday, February 10, 2007 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 Broad St., Linden.  Pastor Donald Neuville officiating.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10:00 AM - 9:00 PM Friday.  Those desiring may make contributions to the St. Jude Children's Hospital or the March of Dimes.  Mrs. Castro was born June 16, 1931 in Detroit, the daughter of Samuel and Violet (Powell) Allen. She married Roy Castro October 30, 1948 in Detroit and he preceded her in death March 26, 1991.  She had been employed by Fenton Extended Care as a cook for 20 years.  Mrs. Castro had resided in Holly the past 11 years, coming from Linden.  Surviving are:  6 children, Roy Castro of Holly, Robert 'Jinx' Castro of Byron, Rockell English of Holly, Ricky and wife Barbara Castro of Linden, Robin and husband Ken Smith of Byron, Ron Castro of Linden; 18 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.  She was also preceded in death by her parents; son, Rusty Castro; daughter, Jonie Castro; brother, Jack Allen.  Tributes and condolences may be sent at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
