Robert "Bob" Wheatley

WHEATLEY, Robert "Bob" - Age 88, of Fenton, passed away August 16, 2024. Funeral services will be held 12 PM Monday, August 19, 2024 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St., Linden. Visitation will be held from 12-8 PM Sunday. Bob was born December 31, 1935 in Flint to the late Wilbur and Pauline (Seymour) Wheatley. He married Sally Hook in 1956 in Angola, IN; she preceded him in death on November 3, 2013. Bob retired from the City of Flint and had served as vice president of AFSME #1600. He enjoyed bowling, golfing, hunting, fishing and traveling. Bob was a true family man. A caregiver by nature, he spent his life caring for others. He is survived by his children, Jerry (Cynthia) Wheatley, David (Terry) Wheatley, Lisa (Dan) Taylor, Christine Schlieger and Tim (Shawn) Wheatley; grandchildren, Amy (Ryan) Ford, Taleisha (Jeremiah) Price, Jacob Schlieger, Chad (Ali) Taylor, Christopher Schlieger, Nate Wheatley, Sally Hoag, Destiny Haines, Meredith Wheatley, Faith Wheatley; 14 great-grandchildren, siblings, Shelby (Ruth) Wheatley, Judy Blanchard and Steve Wheatley; several nieces and nephews.
