Robert Welch

Welch, Robert Kenneth - Age 74, of Grand Blanc, went home to be with the Lord on November 26, 2021. Funeral services will be held 1:30 PM Monday, December 6 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd. Grand Blanc. Interment to follow at Crestwood Cemetery, Grand Blanc. Visitation will be held 10:30 AM Monday December 6 until the time of the service. Those desiring may make contributions to the Robert Welch Memorial Fund c/o Sharp Funeral Homes.
Robert was born May 22, 1947 in Flint, the son of Robert Smith Welch and Elva Mae (Cook) Welch. He married Sharon Ferrell on February 14, 1970. Robert was a Veteran in the United States Army Reserves. He retired from General Motors with 31 years of service and a proud member of UAW Local 659.  Robert served as a pastor with the Church of the Nazarene.  Robert wore many hats. He was also a Sunday school teacher. Robert loved his grandchildren and also loved the game of golf. He liked building and car projects. Robert always stayed busy. He is survived by his wife Sharon of 51 years; 2 children, Anthony (Lacey) Welch of Twin Lake MI, Christy (Dan) Huhn also of Twin Lake; grandchildren, Lesa'Ana Welch, Marissa Welch, Kayeci Welch, Jaden Mesier, Caleb Welch; great-grandson, La'Ciano Miguel Gonzalez; sister, Beverly Rhoads; many nieces and nephews.
