Robert L. VUILLEMOT

VUILLEMOT, Robert Lee - age 82, of Flushing, died Thursday, July 14, 2011 at Fostrian Court in Flushing. Services will be held 11 AM Monday, July 18, 2011 at New Life Community Lutheran Church, 7235 Torrey Rd., Swartz Creek, Pastor Bradley Yops officiating. Visitation will be 1-4 and 6-8 PM Sunday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek, 10 AM until the time of service at the church Monday. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Special Olympics or Eastern Michigan Food Bank. Mr. Vuillemot was born January 19, 1929 in Flint, the son of Leo and Christine (Fahselt) Vuillemot. He married Sheral McKinney in Grand Rapids. Mr. Vuillemot was a member of the New Life Community Lutheran Church. He was baptized February 24, 1929 and confirmed April 18, 1943 at St. Paul Lutheran Church. He graduated from Dye High School and was employed by General Motors for 36 years as a journeyman toolmaker. Surviving are: wife, Sheral; children, Leslie and husband Robert Shafer of Dewitt, James and wife Linda of Swartz Creek; six grandchildren, Whitney, Drew and Erica Schafer, Megan Vuillemot, Kyle Brandon (Deanna), Joel Brandon; two great-grandchildren; brother, Thomas Vuillemot of Chicago; special friends, Ron, Diane and Austin Weir.
