SPRAGUE, Robert David - Age 79, of Swartz Creek, died Thursday, January 18, 2007 at Lapeer County Medical Care Facility.  Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, January 22, 2007 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek.  Burial at Greenwood Cemetery, Vernon.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 5-9 PM Saturday and 1-4 and 6-9 PM Sunday where a Masonic Memorial Service will be held at 7 PM under the auspices of the North Newberg Lodge #161 F. & A.M. In lieu of flowers those desiring may make contributions to Lapeer County Medical Care Facility, c/o Suncrest Auxillary, 1455 Suncrest Dr., Lapeer, MI 48446 or Shriner's Hospital for Children, Attn: Memorial Donations, 2211 N. Oak Park Ave., Chicago, IL  60707.  Mr. Sprague was born Febraury 23, 1927 in Flint, the son of William H. and Elena (Durham) Sprague.  He was a veteran of WWII serving in the U.S. Navy aboard the U.S.S. Charles Carrol.  Mr. Sprague was employed by GM for 38 years. He started his employment as an electrician in 1943 retiring as a member of management at the GM Flint Metal Fab. in 1982, he also owned and operated his farm in Swartz Creek since 1958.  Mr. Sprague was a member of the North Newberg Lodge #161 F.& A.M. Durand, Shriner's, Elf Khurafeh and the Bay City Consistory; he was also a life member of the V.F.W. and the American Legion.  He was an avid Detroit Tiger's fan.  Surviving are: 3 children, Darlene Ouellette and husband Michael of Washington D.C., Dr. Robert Sprague and wife Vicki of Grand Blanc, William Sprague and wife Debbie of Lapeer; 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; sister, Betty Frost and husband Joseph of Georgia; longtime friend, Maryann Faler of Clio.  He was preceded in death by his parents; step-son, Jay A. Wheeler, Jr.; 3 brothers; 1 sister; and the mother of his children, Margaret Sprague.  The family wishes to extend a special Thanks to the staff at Suncrest.  Tributes or condolences may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
