Robert Spears

Spears, Robert Herward - Age 89, of Flint, died January 24, 2021. Private family services will be held. Interment will be at Flint Memorial Parks Cemetery, Mt. Morris. Arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center 6063 Fenton Rd. Grand Blanc. In lieu of flowers those desiring may make contributions to The National Kidney Foundation. Robert was born March 1, 1931 in San Angelo, TX the son of Herward P. and Gertrude (Millan) Spears. Robert was a Veteran of the United States Army - 82nd Airborne Division. He married Berta Gomez on February 14, 1965 in Los Angeles, CA., she preceded him in death May 3, 2006. Robert retired from Yellow Freight as a truck driver with over 40 years of service. Robert was a member of Teamsters 486 and served on the board. He was also a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church and served as an elder. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing. He is survived by his children, Robert Herward Spears Jr., Belinda (Glenn) Puro, Lori (Jason) Dellinger ; 7 grandchildren, Hannah Spears, Alyssa Linn, Lauren Dellinger, Richard Linn, Cecelia Spears, Caitlin Dellinger, Marius Spears.
