SINK, Robert Charles, age 82, of Fenton, died Tuesday, March 4, 2008 at Genesys Health Park. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:30AM Wednesday, March 12th at the Chapel of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N. Adelaide St., Fenton. Rev. Fr. David Harvey celebrant. Interment will follow at Sharp Cemetery where military honors will be performed under the auspices of Fenton V.F.W. Curtis-Wolverton Post #3243. Visitation will be 2-8 PM Monday and Tuesday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. Memorial contributions may be made to the family. Robert was born August 15, 1925 in Detroit, the son of Peter and Mary (Bodak) Sink. He married Barbara Blankenship on August 15, 1953 in Farmington and she preceded him in death on August 12, 2007. Â Robert graduated from Fordson High School, Dearborn in 1943 and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving from 1943 to 1946. He was employed as an engineer by Ford Motor Company retiring in 1984 after 32 years of service. Robert was a former member of the Lions Club in Brighton and the V.F.W. in Garden City. He had resided in Linden for 30 years then moved to Fenton in 2000. Surviving are his 3 sons, Timothy Sink of Nevada, Peter Sink of Fenton, Robert Sink (Ivelissa) of California; 6 grandchildren, Alex, Abbey, Allison, Terrance, Chelsea and Robert Angelo.
