Robert "Bob" Shepherd

Robert "Bob" T. Shepherd, age 90, of Owosso, passed away on Wednesday, April 2, 2025. Visitation will be held at 4pm - 8pm on Monday, April 7, 2025, at Sharp Funeral Home - Miller Road Chapel. Visitation will resume the following day at 10am until the time of the Funeral Service at 12pm on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at Sharp Funeral Home - Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road in Swartz Creek. Bob was born on March 30, 1935, in Durand, Michigan to the late Joseph & Dorothy (Ordiway) Shepherd. He graduated from Byron High School, class of 1953. He furthered his education in the skill trades. Bob was employed with General Motors Parts Division as a millwright for 41 years before retiring in October 1995. In his earlier years he enjoyed hunting and RV camping with his family. The spent many summers at Holiday Shores in Durand on their permanent site. Over the years he collected numerous model semi-trucks and Tonka trucks. Bob appreciated vintage items and frequently went on antique shopping trips. Above all Bob lived a long full life and had many family members and friends he loved dearly.

He is survived by his loving wife, Darlene Shepherd; children, Wanda (Jim Cooper) Hyatt, Bonnie Shepherd, Robert Shepherd Jr, Randy (Carrie) Shepherd, Stacie Zimmerman, Jolene (Justin Johnson) Shepherd, Russ (Joan) Jones, Mike (Amy) Jones, Victoria (John) Fisher and Brian (Jamie) Jones; sisters, Penny Hardy, Jean Leix and Cookie (Joe) Smith and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and even great great-grandchildren. Bob is further survived by a host of nieces and nephews and other dear family members and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Charles Shepherd; brother, Joe Shepherd and two grandsons, Matthew & Denny Jr. Hyatt.
