SHEEHAN, Robert Lawrence  Age 58, of Fenton, died Thursday, April 29, 2004 at his residence. Funeral mass will be celebrated 12:00 PM Monday, May 3, 2004 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church 600 N. Adelaide St., Fenton with Rev. Fr. David Harvey celebrant. Interment will be held at St. John Cemetery, Fenton. Visitation will be from 4-8 PM Saturday and 10-8 PM Sunday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton where a vigil service will be held 5 PM Sunday evening. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Salvation Army. Mr. Sheehan was born May 2, 1945 in Detroit, the son of Lawrence and Edith (Carter) Sheehan. He married Diane Fellows in 1985. Mr. Sheehan retired as a Battalion Chief of the City of Detroit Fire Department; he was an honorable and dedicated firefighter for many years. Mr. Sheehan was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during Vietnam. He was a passionate and devoted husband, father and a proud and honorable man who enjoyed helping others with humble acts of kindness. He believed in doing the right thing and always did the best for his family and friends. Mr. Sheehan was an avid golfer and was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and the Fenton VFW Curtis Wolverton Post #3243. Surviving are: wife, Diane; three children, Jennifer Sheehan of Dearborn, Rob Sheehan, Molly Sheehan, both at home in Fenton; two sisters, Edith and husband, Lew Valliencourt of Escanaba, Susan Churchill of Walled Lake; brother, Tom Sheehan of Orgeon; many nieces and nephews that adored their uncle Bob.
