RINGLEIN, Robert W. Â Age 74, of Swartz Creek, died Sunday, October 30, 2005 at his residence. Funeral mass will be celebrated 11 AM Thursday, November 3, 2005 at St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church, Swartz Creek with Rev. Fr. Amos Wischmeyer celebrant. Entombment will follow at New Calvary Catholic Mausoleum in Flint. Visitation will be from 6-9 PM Tuesday and 2-4 and 6-9 PM Wednesday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. A Third Degree Knights of Columbus Memorial Service will be held 7 PM Wednesday evening followed by a Fourth Degree Memorial Service. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make memorial contributions to St. Mary Queen of Angels or the Knights of Columbus Council 695. Mr. Ringlein was born December 18, 1930 in Swartz Creek the son of William A. and Jennie (Horrigan) Ringlein. He was a 1948 graduate of St. Mary Catholic High School in Flint and a graduate of GMI. Mr. Ringlein married Marilyn Hoch on April 14, 1956. He was veteran of the U.S. Air Force and retired from General Motors in 1990 after 42 years of service as a Millwright. Mr. Ringlein was a member of St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church. He was an extremely active member and promoter of the Knights of Columbus Council 695 for over forty years. He was past Grand Knight and a member of the Fourth Degree. During his membership he was honored with various awards including being a multiple recipient of the Knight of the Month, Knight of the Year and Family of the Year awards. Mr. Ringlein was the founder of the Greater Flint Area Knights of Columbus Male Chorus. He was an extremely giving person that contributed to many charitable organizations. Surviving are: wife of 49 years, Marilyn Ringlein; four children, Sharon (Fred) Anderson-Western, Kathy (Doug) Aukerman, Teresa (Dennis) Rodgers, Christopher (Heather) Ringlein; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Dorothy Ringlein, Carolyn (Morrie) Studer; brother, Dennis (Judy) Ringlein; several nieces and nephews.
