Robert Rhodes

RHODES, Robert E. - Age 54, of Linden, MI, died Saturday, December 20, 2008 at his residence. A Memorial Service will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, December 27, 2008 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad Street, Linden. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Saturday from 12:00 PM until time of service. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to the Old Newsboys. Robert was born September 2, 1954 in Georgia, the son of Myrle and Martha (Cornett) Rhodes. He married Stephanie Spain August 2, 2003 in Denton, TX. He has resided in Linden since 2005 coming from Lakeland. He received a Bachelors of Art Degree from Eastern Michigan University. Robert owned and operated Maydata, Inc for 16 years. He was a member of the Blutos, Old Newsboys, Moto Guzzi National Owners Club and had worked to raise funds for the Special Olympics. Surviving are: wife, Stephanie; 2 children, Kyle Rhodes of Ann Arbor, MI, and Georgia Rhodes of Lansing, MI; granddaughter, Genevieve Rhodes; brother, Mark and wife Alice Rhodes of Tecumseh, MI; 2 nieces, MacKenzie and Carey Rhodes; the Bluto gang; and many friends and loved ones.
