Robert Pocza

POCZA, Robert Dean- Age 68 of Grand Blanc. Died Tuesday February 2, 2016. Services will be held 11 AM Friday, February 5 at Gloria Dei Evangelical Lutheran Church, 5005 McCandlish Rd., Grand Blanc. Visitation will take place from 10 AM until the time of service at the church. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to the Good Shepherd Lutheran School in Burton or the Lutheran Boy and Girl Pioneers of Gloria Dei. Robert was born May 24, 1947 in Flint, the son of Julius and Evelyn (Courts) Pocza. Robert was a graduate of Kearsley High School. He married Christine M. Buch in Burton on April 17, 1971. Robert was a warehouse manager and purchasing agent for Newkirk Electric. He was a former member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Burton where he served on the board of education, as well as coached basketball, softball, and track for many years. Robert was a huge University of Michigan fan. Go Blue! Robert is survived by his wife, Christine, children, Melissa (Rod) Cordes, Robert T. Pocza, Daniel R. Pocza, Kristen (Brian) Machuk, fifteen grandchildren, two brothers, Frank (Martha) Pocza and Richard (Merry Lou) Pocza, sister in law, Rena Pocza.
