PLUMB, Robert John - age 70, of Swartz Creek, died Friday, July 22, 2022. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Monday, July 25, 2022 at St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church, 4413 Morrish Rd, Swartz Creek, MI 48473 with Fr. Louis Ekka celebrant. Interment will follow at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Flint. Visitation will be held 12 PM - 7 PM Sunday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek, MI 48473 where a rosary will be prayed at 7 PM Sunday. In Lieu of Flowers, contributions may be made to St Mary Queen of Angles Church in Swartz Creek or the Swartz Creek Area Firefighters Association. Robert was born August 11, 1951 in Flint, the son of Donald Frederick and Ellen Janet (Washburn) Plumb. He married the love of his life, Trudy Bryant on August 28, 1983. Robert retired from General Motors - Fire Prevention in 2007 after 34 years of service. He actively served on the Swartz Creek Fire Department for the last 35 years. Robert was a member of St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church. He was very active in the community, was vice president of the Swartz Creek Senior Center and most recently was the recipient of the 2022 Miller Settlement Citizen of the Year award in Swartz Creek. Surviving are: wife, Trudy Plumb; son, David (Karin) Plumb; three granddaughters, Jessika, Christina (fiancé, Pete), and Hanna; siblings, Tom (Debbie) Plumb, Lynn (Pat) Bryant, and Cheri (Jimmy) Carlson; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Tina Plumb.
