Robert  "Bob" Phillips

January 19, 1952 — November 9, 2007

PHILLIPS, Robert "Bob"- Age 55, followed the Lord's plan and passed away on November 9, 2007.  He leaves behind his wife, Patricia (Gellings) Phillips of 36 years; daughter, Kimberly (Phillips) Maddock with husband David, daughter, Kelly Phillips, son, Robert II with wife Amy, as well as his beloved granddaughter, Lauryn Maddock.  Bob was born in Bay City on January 19, 1952.  He is the son of Dorthy McLaren of Gladwin, brother of Judy Masselli of Gladwin, David Phillips of Marlette, Linda VanPelt of Bay City, Cheryl Neering of Swartz Creek, Kaleen Yancer of Midland and Marlo Hackett of Midland.  He is preceded in death by his father, Charles "Paul" Phillips.  Bob spent 34 proud years working for General Motors, spending his last years as an elected committe man for UAW Local 659.  He was presented with the Walter P. Reuther Award for his dedication and service to the UAW.  Bob was also an avid hunter/outdoorsman that spent any free moment he could in the woods, enjoying nature's beauty and all it had to offer.  Above all, Bob enjoyed the time and love he shared with his family.  Funeral service will be held 10:00 AM Tuesday, November 13, 2007 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz. Burial following at Crestwood Memorial Cemetery, Grand Blanc.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 6-9 PM Sunday and 1-4 and 6-9 PM Monday.  Those desiring may make contributions to the American Cancer Society or a charity of ones choice.  "Online condolences and tributes may be posted on the Obituaries page of www.sharpfuneralhomes.com".
