Robert Pelkey

PELKEY, Robert Earl - age 45, of Gaines, died Thursday, February 14, 2008. Services will be held 1 PM Monday, February 18, 2008 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St., Linden. Visitation will be held 6-9 PM Saturday and 2-4 and 6-9 Pm Sunday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Robert E. Pelkey Memorial Fund. Bob was born January 28, 1963 in Flint, the son of Robert James and Goldie (Vargo) Pelkey. He was a graduate of Linden High School. Bob worked for several years at Evans Food Service. He married Lisa (Hillier) Selden on June 8, 2001. Bob was a truck driving instructor for U.S. Trucking. Surviving are: wife, Lisa Pelkey of Gaines; step-son, Troy Selden; mother, Goldie Pelkey of Linden; sisters, Nancy (Greg) Steiner of Linden, Dena (Frank) Wolcott of Linden, Stephanie (Fred) Chaney of Swartz Creek; nieces and nephews, Michelle, Steven, Skylar and Aaron; many aunts, uncles and cousins; special friends, Jeff Bailey and Greg Ardnt, along with numerous other special friends.
