Robert "Bob" M Peel, Age 89, who lived a long and fulfilling life, passed away on June 9, 2024. His funeral will be held at 4:00 PM Friday, June 14, 2024 at the Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center located at 6063 Fenton Road, Grand Blanc, Michigan. The funeral will be live streamed and accessible via the link at the base of Mr. Peel's obituary at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com. Born in Flint on July 28, 1934, to the late Susie L. (Norton) Peel, he was the last of nine children. During his high school career at Flint Northern, he played varsity football. He was number 60 and played defensive tackle. Bob graduated high school in June of 1953. He was hired into AC Spark Plug during his junior year, and from then on worked as a fork lift driver for a gratifying 45 years. Bob was also the Scout Master of Troop 215 of Grand Blanc for numerous years, as well as the head of Eagle Council. During this time he helped shape many young boy's lives. In his spare time he mowed and did immaculate lawn care for a multitude people up until recently, when he turned 88. He also enjoyed and did a lot of work on mechanical vehicles as well as taught others how to work on them. He relaxed by playing cards, gardening, and spending time with his family and friends. He leaves behind a beloved family consisting of his daughter, Robyn (Tim) Lutes; son James Peel (Jan Neurohr); grandchildren, Lori Staley, Rick (Kelly) Lutes; great-grandchildren, Alyssa and Dylan Staley; as well as many loving nieces, nephews; great nieces and nephews; family; and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Susie L. (Norton) Peel; sister, Eleanor (Peel) Allen; brother, Cornelius "Neil" Peel. Special thanks to Kyndra Morton, FNP-C, for taking care of Bob.
