Robert Mitchell

Mitchell, Robert James - Age 73, of Grand Blanc, died October 6, 2022. Funeral mass will be celebrated 10 AM Saturday, October 15 at Holy Family Catholic Church 11804 S. Saginaw St. Grand Blanc, Fr. Le Vodivodi celebrant. Visitation will be held 9:30 AM until the time of the mass. Arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd. Grand Blanc. In Lieu of flowers those desiring may make contributions to the Alzheimer's Association. Robert was born December 29, 1948 in Grand Rapids, the son of Robert and Kelly  (Sacha) Mitchell. He married Peggy McNeely on June 24, 1972. Bob and Peggy just recently celebrated 50 years of marriage. He retired from Grand Blanc Community Schools where he was a Special Education teacher for 30 years. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. He coached Grand Blanc Girls Softball for 20 years, and in 1999 he coached the team to a Big 9 Championship win. During his time on earth he saved two lives one from choking and the other from drowning. Bob is survived by his wife Peggy, 2 sons, Adam Mitchell, David (Sara) Mitchell; siblings, Dr. Lawrence Mitchell, William (Lou Ann) Mitchell; nieces and nephews, Erica, Natalie, Tamara, Brett, Nancy, Andrew, Mary Beth, Holly, and D.J.; several great nieces and great nephews.
