Robert Miller

MILLER, Robert "Bob" James - Age 78, of Flint, formerly of Byron, Michigan, died Monday, October 5, 2015. Funeral services will be held 1PM, Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Flint. Pastor Richard Meier officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be held 1PM - 8PM Monday and 11AM until time of service on Tuesday. Those desiring may make contributions to the family. Mr. Miller was born in Flint, Michigan on December 7, 1936 the son of the late John and Blanche (Turner) Miller. He married Margaret Adcox in Flint on February 18, 1977, she preceded him in death on January 11, 2014. Bob enjoyed farming, car racing, wood working, hunting and camping. He retired from G.M. Truck and Bus plant with 30.5 years of service. Surviving are: children, Tina (Butch) Rogers of Coleman, MI, Jim (Kelly) Miller of Flint, Lori (Rick) Miller- Gordon of Flint, Lisa Miller and Thurmon Tipton of Flint, Jennie (Dennis) Stein of Flint, Rick Burns of Burton, David Burns of Burton, Paula (Jerry) Borg of Flint, Karen (Don) Sanderson of Flint; 31 grandchildren, 40 plus great grandchildren; special K-9 companion Curley; brother, Don (Joyce) Miller of Houghton Lake; sisters, Betty Harrison of KY, Joyce Ross of IL, Nancy Clark of Tawas. Bob was also preceded in death by his granddaughter, Harmony Sholler; brother, John Miller; grandparents, Robert and Jenny Turner; aunt Wilma and uncle Don.
