McKAY, Robert Burns - Age 76, of Fenton, died Friday, July 15, 2011. Funeral services will be 12:30 PM Tuesday, July 19 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton, Pastor Larry McMellen officiating. Interment in Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Visitation will be 4-6 PM Sunday, 1-4 and 6-8 PM Monday. Mr. McKay was born November 17, 1934 in Flint the son of John C. and Margaret (McFarlane) Mckay. He married Edna M. Perry on December 12, 1959. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Korea. Mr. McKay retired from GM Fisher Body with 32 years of service, and then worked at Heather Highlands after retirement. He was an honorary fireman with the Fenton Fire Department and a member of the Fenton Masonic Lodge. Surviving are: wife Edna; four children, Robert Jr. and wife Krissy of Durand, Karen and husband Alan Bathum of Rockford, Susan and husband Rob Brownlee of Fenton, Pamela Hudson of Davisburg; nine grandchildren, Bobby, Heather, Jimmy, Crystal, Andrea, Robby, Joshua, Kori, and Cam; siblings, Peg Hartwick, Doug McKay, Bun Mosher, Nora Jane Dart; several nieces and nephews.
