McCLELLAND, Robert D. -- Age 78, of Swartz Creek, died on November 3, 2014. Services will be held 6 PM Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Fr. Gary Koenigsknecht officiating. Visitation will be held 3 PM until time of service Tuesday. Those desiring may make contributions to American Cancer Society. Robert was born December 22, 1935 in Detroit, son of Gordon and Lucille (Morse) McClelland. He married Joyce A. (Schiestel) Soper in Flint on April 18, 1975. He retired from General Motors. He loved hunting, fishing, Red Wings hockey, all sports, traveling and casino trips. He is survived by his wife, Joyce; children, Kathy (Ty) Turmell, Robert (Annette) McClelland, Dane (Angie) McClelland, Tim McClelland; daughter-in-law, Lynn McClelland; step children, Richard (Linda) Soper, Joy (Jeff) Smith, Michael Soper, Greg (Karen) Soper; 21 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; sisters, Anne Kacheros, Susan Rangel; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sons, Kevin McClelland, Craig McClelland; grandson, Ryan McClelland; siblings, Gordon McClelland, Carol Williams, Wayne McClelland.
