MARKES, Robert J. -Age 52, of Flint, died February 4, 2017. A memorial service will be held 3 PM Thursday January 9 at Sharp Funeral Homes Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Visitation will take place from 2 PM until the time of service at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions to Robert's family. Robert was born June 2, 1964 in Pontiac, the son of Robert and Ethel Palmer (Halpin) Markes. He was a graduate of Milford High School. He was always there for others and enjoyed fishing, football, and spending time with family. He is survived by his wife, Rozella; children, John Robert Walker, Cody Markes, Brandon Markes, and Rebecca Markes; grandchildren, Drake Kennedy, Aiden Rhiemer, Bella Rhiemer, and Devon Markes; sister, Laura (Jack) Walker.
