Robert Maloney

Maloney, Robert Jay - Age 94, died August 20, 2017. Services will be held 11 AM Friday, September 1 at the chapel at Evergreen Cemetery, Grand Blanc. Arrangements are being handled by Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Flint. Those desiring may make contributions to Alzheimer's Association. Robert was born February 28, 1923 in East Jordan, MI, the son of Jerry D. and Hazel (Swanston) Maloney. He married Novella Marie Kindred on April 22, 1942 in Owosso. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving in WWII. Mr. Maloney retired from GM, Fisher Body, Grand Blanc in 1981 with 31 years of service. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge 571 of Grand Blanc, and U.A.W. Local 1292. Surviving are: son Jerry K. Maloney (Alicia Keen) of Swartz Creek; daughter Mary V. (George) Falaras of Grand Blanc; daughter-in-law Marion Maloney of Owosso; son-in-law Tim Brown of Tempe AZ; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; son Robert Michael Maloney; and daughter Cheryl Lynn Brown. Tributes may be shared on the obituaries page of www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
