LUTZ, Robert C., age 95, of Fenton, passed away Thursday, January 6, 2011 at Crestmont Health Care Center. Bob was born on September 9, 1915 in Flint, MI, the son of the late Gustave C. and Allie E. (Sears) Lutz. Bob graduated from Fenton High School in 1932 and was married to Elizabeth Johnson in 1936. He played trumpet in the Borst Brothers Dance Band through the 1930's and 40's. Bob owned and operated Lutz Television Sales and Service and in 1949, he sold the first television in the area, which was a five inch screen Hallicrafter. He was a long time member of the Fenton Kiwanis Club and served on the Fenton Parks and Recreation Board. Bob retired in 1980 after 40 dedicated years to the Fenton community. Bob was a faithful member of the First Presbyterian Church of Fenton. In his leisure time, Bob loved to golf, fish and hunt. Surviving are his 4 children, Robert I. Lutz (Beverly) of Panama City Beach, FL, Douglas Kim Lutz (Martha) of McLean, VA, Gregory V. Lutz of Fenton, Julie Ann Lutz of Fenton; 9 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 70 years, Elizabeth; granddaughter, Kelley Steburg; sister, Carol Dennis. Visitation will be 2:00-5:00p.m. and 7:00-9:00pm Sunday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. The Funeral Service will be at 12 pm Monday, January 10, 2011 at the First Presbyterian Church of Fenton, 503 S. Leroy St., Fenton. Pastor Dale Swihart officiating. Internment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.
