Robert Lee "Bob" Lindsey - passed away February 2, 2025. He was born September 13, 1937 in Miston, TN to John Leonard and Martha Pauline (Crowell) Lindsey. He was a proud graduate of Flint Northern High School, Class of 1955, where he played football and ran track. Bob was a veteran of the US Army, serving from 1955-1959. He was stationed at Fort Leonard Wood and Fort Sill. He was a faithful member of the Masons and once served in the Shriners. He worked for many years at Flint Fisher Body until it closed, then moved to Buick City until his retirement. He also owned two local businesses in the Flint area, Hale Hat Store and Trapper Joe's Bar. Bob will be remembered for his love of baseball and football, especially the Detroit Lions and Detroit Tigers, as well as his beloved dogs, Trapper, Joe and Bella. He will be missed by his family and friends. He is survived by two sons, Duane Lindsey and David Lindsey; their mother and good friend, Jeanette Lindsey; two sisters, Maryion Lee and Colleen Curtin; brother-in-law, Tim Curtin; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Gary Lindsey; parents; brother-in-law, Sheridan Lee.
A memorial service will be held 12PM Friday, February 7, 2025 at Court Street United Methodist Church, 225 W. Court St., Flint. The family will receive friends from 10AM until the time of service. Those desiring may make a contribution in his memory to Morningstar Lodge #556 F&AM.
